Jessie O'Connell

Teacher, The Hive (Kōwhai)

Jess is a born and bred local Queenstown girl. She is in the middle of studying for her bachelor's degree in early childhood education, and in mid-2024 she will be fully qualified which is an exciting step for her.

She has a sporty personality, and loves walking, running, gymming, biking with her partner Angus, and her all-time favourites are skiing and netball. Jess worked for Nzski in 2020 and gained her Level one instructor's certification hoping to travel in the near future to Whistler, Canada to chase the snow.

She loves children and has definitely found what she’s truly passionate about. Jess is looking forward to her journey here at Gems getting to know all the whanau and tamariki.
