Jessica finished her studies in 2019 at the University of Otago, graduating with a Bachelor in Teaching (primary). She then spent 4 months working as a Support Worker in Dunedin furthering her skills where she was helping children with a variety of needs. She has spent time Relief Teaching and Teacher Aiding but found she wanted something that really gave her the passion to get up and go every day. She found Gems and fell in love with their philosophy of children leading the way of their own learning, which is what she based the majority of her final years of study on. When not at school, Jess can be found spending time with her family and beautiful dog, Apollo. She loves enjoying the variety of places that Central Otago has to offer.
