Team culture is a fundamental driver for delivering quality childcare and education. This is what we highly value and invest in.

We can talk about our aspirations all day long, but it's the actual working environment which is a testament to our whole team walking-the-walk. By looking after ourselves, we are looking after our families and their tamariki. It all passes down to what is in the best interest of the tamariki we care about.

We are a dynamic team of real humans split across three Queenstown centres in close proximity, which have different hours and roles. Our collective strength is grounded in the health of our individuals and our guiding belief that staffing supports wellbeing. Our gauge on the success of this is our calm, creative, collaborative environment. You can find out more about Pikler and Reggio philosophies that we follow here.

The Management Team sets professional development expectations at a level that is aspirational, but also realistically achievable. Time and space is rostered for non-contact time and we have admin and supporting staff for this. We invest in business-leading software solutions that support and enhance, not overload, our crew. We also monitor and adjust systems and expectations based on staff capacity and wellbeing. Overall, we are realistic and know that in this industry, some weeks you just need to catch your breath.

Additionally we invest in regular facilitated professional development sessions such as The Power of Dots and Riders & Elephants as a fun way to get the team communicating and valuing each others differences.

If you are looking for a teaching position in Queenstown, talk to our team to find out more, or better still, walk in and feel it!

Recruitment is a big part of my job and it’s a part that I really really love. I love bringing people together and matching people up and see how they work together. It’s quite exciting when you get a new team and you think ..’this is going to be awesome’. Then you see them work it all out and you feel like - yes!
